Photography from July

For what I had originally intended to be an art blog way back when I first made this, I haven’t bothered yet to make a post about my art. Well here it is. I’ll post some of the last photos that I took and for anyone interested the camera data. ‘cos I’m a nerd like that. (If you click on the images you’ll be led to the deviations page on deviantArt where you can see a bigger version or download the image to see full size.)

These photos were taken on Wednesday the 13th of July 2011 at Killarney National Park and Muckross House County Kerry.

Torc

Camera: Olympus E-600
Shutter Speed: 1/5 second
Aperture: F/22.0
Focal Length: 17 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Date taken: July 13, 2011, 12:55:43 PM

It came out a bit blurry, which can be seen if you look at the full size image. I wanted to get the flow of the water so I needed a slow shutter speed but sadly didn’t have a tripod and instead had to deal with my shaky hands. Nevertheless I like the photo, as it was one of the few from the day that didn’t have a person in the way.

Some may think this photo familiar, I posted it in my first blog, Fresh Starts. Now you get the data to go with it! Small things are fascinating and I love my macro lens.

Soft Focus

You can recognise this photo from the top of my blog. It’s my favourite from that day of photography as it’s so simple and was something I wasn’t even trying to capture, merely luck. I was messing around with some of the art features on my camera that I had never used before and got this.
