2018 Sketchbook – January to September

I finished my 2018 sketchbook back at the end of September and finally got around to filming a very quick flipthrough of it. It’s not the best quality video (sorry about that), but I hope you enjoy seeing all the random things I felt like drawing in 2018. I thought a video flipthrough would be the best way to show it as there are quite a few pages in it.

I’d love to hear what your favourite pages from my sketchbook are!

  1. Reblogged this on Libertas Americana Art and commented:
I was sitting down to go through email and prepare a blog post for today when I came across this sketchbook video by my friend Emma. She is one of my pen pals abroad and I follow her blog as well.
I thought her drawings were lovely. Take a minute to follow the link to her page and watch the video.

  2. I think most of your drawings are fabulous Emma; especially the landscape and perspective. Have you considered developing a loose story line or theme and designing a coloring book? I think a book of finished art would make a lovely collection that you could have printed up to sell also.
I definitely think you should pursue drawing more.

    1. Thanks! Landscapes are some of my favourite things to do. I really wish I was good at character design but when you’re slightly off with drawing people, it’s really obvious! There’s a lot more leeway with landscapes 😀
Can’t say I’ve ever thought of doing something like a colouring book or anything with a loose store line or theme – seems like it’s something you’d have to put thought and planning into and I never really plan my drawings much. I can’t imagine anyone would be interested in buying my drawings either! xD
